Click Here	BFS National Certification Jan. 16, 2010 On January 16th BFS hosted our inaugural National Certification at the home offices in Salt Lake City to great success. With coaches attending from eight states it was a truly national event. Time was split between classroom work in the BFS multimedia equipped conference room and the BFS weight room with 8 training stations in a variety of configurations to simulate many real life facilities. Among the many things that sets BFS Certification apart is the emphasis on hands on training. Each of the BFS core lifts is explained and demonstrated in the classroom, then every coach is required to perform the lifts covered and spot the lifts covered. All BFS certified coaches have a physical grasp of correct, safe technique when they complete the day's practicum. We had over 40 men and women participating in the full day of training. Such widespread participation underscores the growing importance having a certified staff handling weight room training. At every level from the student/athlete, to the coach, to the institution or school, having a certified staff offers a multitude of benefits.
