Roeland Brateanu is a former collegiate and professional tennis player and has been involved with BFS since 2003. He has done many clinics in and outside of the US.

As an athlete, among numerous other awards, Roeland was awarded the prestigious Arthur Ashe Jr. Sportsmanship and Leadership Award in 2004.

In 2006 and 2007 Roeland worked the BFS program with nearly 150 athletes in Guatemala. Under which were three world karate champions, and numerous world class and Olympic athletes. In the meantime he started coaching tennis and was involved in the training of several Jr. Fed Cup and Fed Cup players for Guatemala.

Roeland has published articles in three different countries (his native Holland, Guatemala, and the USA) in as many different languages, and has made numerous appearances on International Television and Radio programs. Since October 1st 2007, Roeland is the assistant men's tennis coach at (his alma mater) the University of Utah, while obtaining a Master's Degree in sports psychology.
